How do pixel lights work?
The led pixels consist of an entire string of “smart” RGB light bulbs connected in series. Each pixel has a tiny chip (such as the DMX512 chip commonly used in Outdoor Projects RGB lighting) that tells the LED when to turn on and off and what color to light up. They are connected in a line and each can be lit individually.
