1. LED point light source / LED Pixel lights

Control Methods For Outdoor Lighting
Generally, LED outdoor lighting lamps have two control methods, one is internal control and the other is external control. Internal control does not require an external controller. If the customer buys the internal-controlled RGB floodlight, the engineer will design the control system in the led floodlight according to the customer’s effect requirements, but once it is set, the effect cannot be changed.
The external control is an external controller. The most commonly used external control today is DMX512 external control. The effect of LED lamps can be changed by adjusting the external main controller to change the effect of LED lamps. Generally, large projects will choose DMX512 external control floodlights. , the engineer can also set one of the lights as the master control and the other as the slave control according to the customer’s requirements.
The Difference Between DMX512 and TTL Signals in Outdoor Pixel Lighting Projects
In outdoor night scene lighting, as long as the effect is achieved through an external controller, the two control systems of TTL and DMX512 are basically used. What is the difference between the two programmable control methods?
1. The effect that can be presented
Whether it is the outline effect or the screen effect, the effects that can be presented by the two control systems are the same.
2. Signal versatility
TTL needs to use the corresponding protocol of the lamp control chip. The chip protocol produced by different chip manufacturers may be different. If the same project purchases two control chips from different manufacturers, the effect cannot be linked and synchronized. DMX512 is an international general protocol. Lamps from different manufacturers can be used as long as they use the DMX512 protocol. The effect can be unified, and the linkage and synchronization can be realized. The large-scale light shows and stage lights we have seen are all controlled by DMX512.
3. The number of lamps that can be brought
The number of lamps of the same type of TTL scheme that can be brought is more than that of DMX512. The DMX512 solution has relatively fewer lamps.
4. Later maintenance costs
TTL control adopts a series scheme, and the actual installation has a large number of lamps. This installation method has a characteristic. If the first lamp in series is broken, all the lamps in the series can not work normally. . It has a very serious impact on the use effect of the project. A broken light can incur very high maintenance costs.
DMX512 control adopts parallel scheme, single point single control. The failure of one lamp will not affect the normal use of other lamps. Only regular maintenance is required, and maintenance costs are greatly reduced. Therefore, some lighting projects with high installation difficulty and high building construction will use lamps with DMX512 control scheme. Save expensive post-maintenance costs.
